Additional driver standard policy

• Additional drivers can be added at an extra charge of SAR 50 per driver.

Age requirements

• The minimum permitted age for car rental is 21 years.

Fuel policy

• Lumi encourages its customers to return the vehicle with the fuel at the same level as its pick-up time. If not, the customer will have to pay for refuelling.

Damage waiver

• CDW can reduce your insurance excess up to zero as long as you have a valid police report for damage incurred during the rental period.
• The CDW is paid daily, weekly, or monthly, and the renter will be responsible with an excess amount ranging from SAR 20 to SAR 2,000 depending on the vehicle group.

Forms of payment

• Acceptable methods of payment are cash, credit card and debit card.

Cross-border policy

• You are allowed to drive Lumi vehicles only within Saudi Arabia, and the total kilometres are capped per day. The car can be dropped off at any of the Lumi branches. However, there is an additional charge if the vehicle is returned to a Lumi branch in another city.

• Lumi can provide the necessary paperwork for cross-border vehicle usage on a case-to-case basis for an extra charge. However, the vehicle can only be returned within the country and cannot be left overseas.

• If the customer wishes to return the vehicle to another Lumi location, he/she will have to pay a fee depending on the distance of the pick-up branch and the drop-off location.

Kilometre policy

• All Lumi cars can be driven up to 200km/day.
• For excess kms, extra charges will apply based on the vehicle group.

Mechanical breakdown policy

• For any mechanical breakdown, please contact Lumi’s roadside assistance immediately on 9200 28 428.

Vehicle maintenance policy

• All vehicle maintenance is Lumi’s responsibility; however, the driver should keep an eye on service due-date stickers, warnings, oil levels, and performance issues. Fuel and tyre pressures are the driver’s responsibility, and in case of any flat tyre or battery discharge, the driver should call our 24/7 roadside assistance helpline on 9200 28 428.
