Accepted Answer

The car rental cost does not include insurance, but it does have third-party liability coverage. In case of an accident that happens to be your fault, you’ll pay an amount ranging from SAR 1,500 to SAR 3,000, depending on the car group. If the accident is not caused by any fault of the customer, then there is no liability.

We also recommend getting the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for long rental periods that can be added on for a charge. It can reduce the insurance excess up to zero. The CDW cost for Chevrolet Spark starts from SAR 20 per day, and SAR 50 per day for Lexus ES 350.

What are some of the traffic rules and regulations I should be aware of?

- Saudi Arabia follows right-hand traffic.
- Drivers must abide by all traffic rules and speed limits, including government-imposed capacity restrictions.
- Any penalties or fines incurred during the rental period are the driver’s responsibility. You are also responsible and may be charged for any spills, scratches or damage to the car  during the rental period.
